Dental Bridges in Bellevue, WA

A Cost Effective Option for Tooth Loss

One of the common dental problems that people face as they grow older is tooth loss. At our practice, we offer different effective solutions for this dental problem at reasonable costs. We install dental bridges (fixed partial dentures) to your remaining teeth to literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. We recommend fixed bridges due to their stability. However, we offer removable or permanent replacement solutions.

Our dental bridges will help maintain the natural shape of your face through lip and cheek support while improving your overall oral health. High quality materials such as gold alloys, porcelain, non-precious alloys or a combination of these materials are used to construct the dental bridges. We utilize advanced technologies and knowledge to design bridges that accessorize your remaining teeth in terms of appearance and function.

Our replacements can also help prevent unusual pressure on your gums and oral tissues, restricting the onset of other oral disorders. Our bridges may also help you eat and speak without any problems and you don’t need to worry about them slipping off and causing embarrassment.

The Procedure

You will require a few appointments to complete our restorative procedure. During your first visit, our resident dentist Dr. Gannon Stahl, will take the impressions of your mouth and teeth, which serve as a model from which the pontic, bridge and crowns will be made. Dr. Stahl may also prepare your teeth for the replacement by removing a portion of enamel to allow room for the crowns to be placed over them.

One of our team members will forward your impressions to a dental lab and have them constructed. Once your bridges are ready for fitting, Dr. Stahl will place crowns or bond the restorations directly to the teeth near the gap and ensure the replacements are a perfect fit. Removable bridges require metal claps to secure the restoration.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance are essential to ensure the longevity of your bridge and prevent complications. After your procedure, be sure to brush your teeth twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste, and floss around and under the bridge daily. Avoid chewing on hard foods or using your teeth to open bottles or packages.

We also encourage follow-up appointments after the procedure to check the fit of the bridge and bite. Our team also makes efforts to provide patients with detailed knowledge about proper care of teeth and gums to maintain good dental hygiene.
